A few of my favorite things right now... (food wise)

"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things"

I just had to use the song as a quote because as I was typing the title this song immediately popped into my head.  I don't know about you, but I go through "phases" with my foods.  I'll get really hooked on one thing that I love and I'll eat it until I don't want to eat it any more.  Sometimes this is healthy, for example I went through an egg-white omelet stage where I made on for breakfast every morning.  Other times it's not so healthy, for example the little love affair I had with cheeze-its for a while was not healthy.   Try as I may I find myself constantly falling into patterns where I really love some foods.  Most of the time it's a seasonal food thing, which helps because I can eat it until it is out of season and then still want some by the time another year comes around.  I thought for this post I'd share with you some of my favorites right now.

Cooking Question - How do you make sweet tea?

My husband and I recently had a discussion about sweet tea and how different people make it different ways. I realized there are so many different methods and everyone swears by their own method they use.  My question is what do you think is the correct way to make sweet tea?  I'm going to do a blog post soon about the different ways and would love your input!  Feel free to comment below with your method you swear by to make sweet tea.  Plus I'm definitely going to feature a few different recipes and would love to give you a shout-out so make sure to leave your name and website/blog if you have one!

Christmas Goodies and Coffee Creations!

Christmas, my child, is love in action. Every time we love, every time we give, it's Christmas.

Don't you love this turquoise wreath?
I cannot believe Christmas is this weekend!!!  Last week I got the stomach flu and was sick for a whole week!  This made for absolutely no cooking during the week.  (I think the husband was a little tired of canned chicken noodle soup for me and "fend for yourself" for him)  However, my best friend is leaving to go to NYC and I had her Christmas party at my house on Friday night which meant I had to cook. I had decided to do "Caitlin's Favorite Things" for the menu and they turned out really well so I wanted to share... enjoy!
